Principal Secretary for education Amb. Julius Bitok, today hosted a consultative meeting with officials from the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), led by their National Chairman, Hon. Amboko Milemba. The session marked a significant step in fostering deeper collaboration between the government and teacher representatives on matters central to the education sector.
The discussions focused on a wide array of issues affecting the teaching fraternity in post-primary institutions. Key among these were teacher welfare, professional development, equitable staffing, and improved working conditions. The two parties also explored avenues to strengthen the quality of education through shared policy development and open, continuous dialogue.
Amb. Bitok commended KUPPET for its commitment to constructive engagement and acknowledged the union’s vital role in championing the interests of teachers across the country.
