Captain America: Brave New World Sells 100Million At The Box Office

Posted on February 25, 2025February 25, 2025 by admin

Released in early 2025, “Captain America: Brave New World” marks Anthony Mackie’s debut as the titular hero, succeeding Chris Evans’ portrayal of Steve Rogers. The film opened with a domestic box office gross of $100 million and an international take of $92.4 million, totaling $192.4 million worldwide in its opening weekend. Despite meeting pre-release expectations, the movie experienced a significant 68% drop in its second weekend, earning $28.2 million domestically. This decline is among the steepest in Marvel’s history, raising concerns about long-term audience engagement. As of now, the film has amassed nearly $289.4 million globally.

**Comics: New Series Launches**

The comic book realm has also seen a resurgence of interest in Captain America. In January 2025, Marvel launched “Sam Wilson: Captain America,” penned by Greg Pak and Evan Narcisse, with art by Eder Messias. This series explores Sam Wilson’s adventures as he embraces the mantle of Captain America.

Additionally, Marvel announced a new “Captain America” series set to debut on July 2, 2025. Written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Valerio Schiti, this series revisits Steve Rogers’ awakening in the modern era, delving into his challenges in a changed world.

While specific sales figures for these comic series are not yet available, the anticipation surrounding their releases indicates a strong market interest. The dual presence of Captain America in both film and comics underscores the character’s enduring appeal and cultural significance in 2025.
